fish fight

A Snowy Egret is surrounded by hungry gulls that would try to make the egret drop the fish it caught. The gulls were successful several times and the egret gave up and left the area.

    Kevin,
    I love your photography, especially enjoy the birds! I have sent your website address to friends here in Delaware so they can also enjoy them. Where did you photograph the Oyster Catchers? Are they the ones with the red beaks? I have never seen them before.
    Thanks so much and we will bring our visiting family and friends to the Delaware History Museum at the ferry terminal!

    The Oyster Catchers (yes, the colorful beaks) are on a tiny island in Indian River Bay. Barely above sea level…
