squirrel gone wild!

It would be a stretch to say that photographing a squirrel is anything like capturing a fox hunting in the wild or a gannet diving into the ocean for a fish.  But this arboreal, bushy-tailed rodent still makes a great subject.  Eastern Gray Squirrels are our most commonly seen mammals and have adapted well to life in Delaware’s towns and cities.

This is absolutely gorgeous. How did you manage to get such a close-up view without him or her needing to be clasping a nut to stay still?

Bravo-squirrels move like lightening and are hard to photo well.

    Hi Clare,

Thanks, glad you like the squirrel! They are tough to photograph sometimes but this one just stopped for a second and I was able to catch him. Next week I will be trying to get some flying squirrels. That will really be a challenge. Wish me luck!

    Kevin
